Praise Him when you're happy,
Seek Him when it's hard,
Worship Him when it's quiet,
Trust Him when it's painful,
Thank Him every moment.
For five years of being a Christian, I observed that before accepting Christ, I was living without meaning. "Feelings" contributed to my ongoing existence, however on the long run this never made me a "happy" person until realizing that our happiness is externally given by God, not internally possessed. Everything we do and we say in our personal life and our church life should be for God's glory. Whether we preach the gospel, shepherd the saints, enjoy the Lord in the meetings, take care of the new ones, or have young people's meetings – everything should be for God's glory. If we care for God's glory when we do all the things in the church life, there will be an outflow of living water. This flow will heal everything in its way and will impart life to people, bringing in God wherever it goes!
In our lives today, we must realize that it is important to live out the Lord. We can't be seen as the same with other people because we're not the same--we have the life of Christ within us, dwelling in our spirit. Our entire being is also the Lord's body, thus we must be separated from anything that is unclean. James 4:4 says "Adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever determines to be a friend of the world is constituted an enemy of God." The Lord tells us to FLEE and PURSUE, so we must stand up and flee from the world and pursue Jesus! Christ died for us, and through His precious Blood we are saved! We are reproductions of God. Our purpose is to live for God, and we have fallen short of His glory. So pick your life up and get right with Him.
Think about this for a moment, are you truly satisfied with what you're doing? Can video games make your world spin around until a new one releases? Or is devoting time on clothes and fashion really worth it until a new trend comes out? There is nothing as satisfying as God Himself. And the best part is you don't have to wait, He's everywhere and you can turn to Him anytime! He's willing to accept you no matter your age, social status or who you are. All you have to do is to let Him into your heart and believe that He is the one that saved you. Christianity invites you not into religion, but a relationship with Jesus Christ--For God so loved the world, He sent His only son.
